Latest hoax on Whatsapp

 Whatsapp     No comments

If you're a WhatsApp user, then it is possible that you've received a strange message in the last few days. While most scams are simply a hoax and bogus and can be easily avoided, there's a grain of truth in the latest one.

Regarding the latest scam, the first half of the message is a hoax.

As you can see in the message below, the first few paragraphs claim that a video will come out tomorrow called ''Martinelli'', which will hack your phone.

This isn't true.

It says:

"If you know anyone using WhatsApp you might pass on this. An IT colleague has advised that a video comes out tomorrow from WhatsApp called Martinelli do not open it, it hacks your phone and nothing will fix it. Spread the word.” The more pertinent part of this message though is regarding the idea of 'WhatsApp Gold' because this is a genuine scam.

Over the last few years, numerous WhatsApp users have reportedly received an exclusive invitation to install a "limited edition" version of the popular messaging app called WhatsApp Gold.

"If you know anyone using WhatsApp you pass on this. An IT colleague has advised that a video from WhatsApp called martinelli do not open, nothing will fix it. Spread word.

If you receive a message to update the Whatsapp to Whatsapp Gold, do not click!!!"

At present, there is only one official version of WhatsApp, and it's the version that you are using.

The upgrade to the bogus WhatsApp Gold claims to offer new features. Users are asked to click on a link to download the update. Instead, this link redirects the user to a website that contains malicious software, infecting smartphones with viruses.

Again, take note if you receive this bogus message.

How to See Who Views Your Facebook Profile

Facebook, View Blocked List     No comments

Learn How to See Who Views Your Facebook Profile?: Most users are interested in seeing which Facebook friend or user is viewing their Facebook profile. While there are some programs and browser extension claiming that they can track who is stalking you on Facebook, there are some elements of scams in their activities. Ensure that you don’t give any access to your account because it may compromise your Facebook privacy. View Facebook Blocked List

How to See Who Views Your Facebook Profile?

Unlike other social media, like LinkedIn, you can easily see who’s viewed your profile using the provided tool, but Facebook still not ready to show that feature, although many users wanted to have that.
Is there a way to find out who always viewing my Facebook profile?

While searching and finding a way to see who are checking Facebook profile or if it is possible, I came across in some popular way that are shared online.

Many videos with millions of views and popular pages, sharing the same instruction how to find out who is viewing your Facebook profile, they use InitialChatFriendsList.

This can be found when viewing the source code for your profile and the list of the numbers that follows is the list of ID’s that arranged from top which said the one who constantly viewing your profile.

I will tell you the truth this method is not exactly the list of people that are constantly viewing your profile, instead this is the list of friends that you have recently interacted with (in chat, message, comment thread).

Why I said this is not the list who recently check your profile? Because I tested it, I tell some of my friends to check my profile for some times and check if the list changed, it didn’t.
How to find InitialChatFriendsList

If you still wanted to check using the InitialChatFriendsList, I will share with you the steps. 1. On your Facebook Profile, perform right-click in the empty area on the side, then select “View Page Source”

See:

  • How you can change your Facebook password
  • How to delete Facebook post

2. It will open the page source of your profile, to find the list simple press CTRL + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac) and enter InitialChatFriendsList then press enter. You will be taken to the list of code which is Facebook ID’s of your friends.

3. To convert numbers into Facebook profiles, simply put this into your browser address bar https://www.facebook.com/NUMBERID, and change the NUMBERID with the first group digit numbers that you find right after InitialChatFriendsList, do not include number after hyphen (-).

If you are checking source code, and it seems complicated to you, then, you can actually see this visually using chat window. If you are using Facebook in browser, you will see on right side your friends list. You can also use this to observe who you constantly chat with like the InitialChatFriendsList.

What you have to do is turn off the chat and then refresh your web browser, then turn it back on again using the gear icon. The first friend that appears on the top is most likely to be your Facebook friends that you recently interact with.

Delete my fb account right now

What Happens When You Deactivate or Delete Facebook Account

When you are leaving Facebook, you have options to choose from; deactivating your Facebook temporarily is one of them, another is deleting or closing your Facebook account permanently.

The option of recovering your Facebook account is open to you if you choose to deactivate your FB account, but you should tread with caution if you choose to delete or block your Facebook account permanently because the chance of recovering or regaining any data or information from your account will not be available to you in the future: when once you delete or block your FB account, all your photos, videos, etc will be gone and you can't get it back.

Our advice to you is, if you have made up your mind, endeavor to download and back up your FB information (photos, videos, etc) because, you never can tell when you are going to need it.

Facebook has made it clear that it will take about 90 days (roughly three months) for its team to wipe off all your photos, videos, posts, likes, comments, messages, and everything else concerning your account off from their server. Other Facebook users including your friends won’t be able to visit your profile during the deletion process.

How to Backup your Facebook Information Before Deletion

Before you bury your Facebook life, you should backup your data in case you need it in the future.
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. While in the General tab. Click Download a copy of your Facebook data.
  3. Click Start My Archive.
  4. Enter your Facebook account password. Click Submit.
  5. Click Start My Archive in the Request My Download box.
Facebook will then gather all your data and send the copy to your registered email address.

How to poke somebody that poked you on Facebook | How to Poke Someone On FB

       Poking     No comments

How to poke somebody that poked you on Facebook | How to Poke Someone On FB:

Can you still poke someone on Facebook or has Facebook removed the "poke" feature? Oh yes!!! you can poke someone and someone can as well poke you back. Mind you, you can't poke someone that hasn't poke back that is, you can't poke twice.

Facebook poke feature was a fun one until users got worried of what it really meant. The confusion led to the point that many users abandoned using it. I guess that's the reason Facebook is burying this feature under facebook.com/pokes. Initially, you won't beg to see this poking feature as it is embedded boldly close to each users profile.

How to Poke Someone On Facebook

See how to poke someone on Facebook here

If you want to poke everyone that has poked you, then you have to visit facebook.com/pokes on your web browser to poke them back.

You'll see the list of friends and Facebook users that have poked you.

Mind you, friends of friends can poke you. Hence, you shouldn't expect to see pokes from friends alone.

Please share this article with friends on Facebook so they can also find out where they can find their pokes and also to know what pokes means on Facebook.
