How to Delete & Close My Facebook Account Right Now | Facebook Delete Option - Block & Cancel FB Profile Permanently: While Facebook remains is a useful handy tool for keeping in touch with families, friends, events organization, etc..., we should also keep in mind that it has become bigger and far too powerful than the small social site many of us originally signed up to. As such, if you feel like quitting Facebook, the decision is solely yours especially if you don't know your way around some basic Facebook settings.

How to Delete & Close My Facebook Account Right Now | Facebook Delete Option - Block & Cancel FB Profile Permanently

Facebook has at many instances been called out for a wide range of perceived misdemeanors. In some situation, it's long been viewed as a rather sinister threat to privacy and criticised for its tax practices, but more recent issues, such as the spread of fake news, the site’s approach to illegal content and incredibly disturbing uses of Facebook Live are particularly troubling.
Howbeit, for many, it’s simply a colossal waste of time.

Regardless of why you want to cut ties with Facebook, here’s how to deactivate and delete your account now.

      Deactivate

Unless you’re absolutely sure you want to get rid of your Facebook account once and for all, we’d recommend going down the deactivation route.
Deactivating your account hides your profile from friends and search, but allows you to resurrect your account – complete with friends, updates, pictures and Likes – if you ever decide to return, simply by entering your login information.
      To deactivate your Facebook account:
      • Click the downwards-pointing arrow in the top-right corner of the screen
      • Select Settings
      • Open the Security section
      • Choose the Deactivate Your Account option at the bottom of the menu

      Smart Links:

      Delete Facebook Now

Deleting your account is a major step, so think it through before committing. Facebook can take up to 90 days to process account deletion requests, but once your account's gone, it’s gone.
Before taking the plunge, it’s well worth downloading a copy of the data Facebook has on you.
      To do this:
      • Click the downwards-pointing arrow in the top-right corner of the screen
      • Select Download a copy of your Facebook data
Once that’s done, you’re ready to delete your account. Bear in mind, however, that your sent messages will continue to exist even when all other traces of your account are gone.
To permanently delete your Facebook account:
      • Head to Facebook’s Delete Account page: https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account
      • Select Delete My Account

Live without your Facebook account for a month! If the mere thought ran chills down your spine, imagine how difficult it would be if you had to do it in reality.
In today’s day and age, Facebook has become synonymous with our lives. After all, our entire life and its story can be traced on the social media platform.
So, assuming that you have to deactivate your Facebook account either because you have your exams and you can help some distraction out of your way, or because you no longer find Facebook interesting, we bring to you this article that will help you in deactivating your Facebook account.

        How To Deactivate Facebook Account?
Facebook really plays its cards well as the deactivation option is a bit hidden. It generally takes some amount of time to figure out from where you can deactivate your account. Most people choose to temporarily deactivate their accounts and not delete them permanently because saying goodbye to Facebook can be painful. Now that you have decided to take a break from Facebook for a while, here are the steps you need to follow to deactivate your Facebook account:

#1. Log in to your account.

#2. On the top right corner, in the toolbar that has the link to your profile and home, you’ll see an inverted triangle. Click on the inverted triangle.

#3. As soon as you click on the inverted triangle, you’ll see a drop down menu. In that menu, find and click on ‘Settings.’

#4. Once you click on settings, Facebook will take you to a page where you can manage your account.

#5. Under the ‘General Account Settings’ tab, find the option ‘Manage Account’ and click on ‘Edit.’

#6. As soon as you click on edit, it will expand into a new section where you can see two options: ‘Request account deletion’ and ‘Deactivate your account.’ Click on the latter.

#7. Facebook will then make a last ditch effort to stop you from leaving and will ask you the reason for deactivating your account.
#8. Select the option that matches your reason. If you don’t want to see emails from Facebook during the time you’re away, make sure you select the option ‘Opt out of receiving future emails from Facebook.’

#9. Once you’ve done that, just hit deactivate to temporarily disable your Facebook account.

So there you have it. A step-by-step guide on how to deactivate Facebook Account.

How to make your Facebook private

Facebook, Make Facebook private     No comments

Facebook is a wonderful tool you can use in keeping in touch with old friends, family and anyone else you care to talk to. But that digital freedom comes at a cost: your privacy. Fortunately there are ways to make sure that only the people you want to see your Facebook profile can – unless of course somebody knows your password.
The steps to making your Facebook private is actually relatively easy once you familiarize yourself with the increasingly bloated user-interface. So where do you begin? Read on.

        1. Privacy Shortcuts
There are two easy ways to get to the necessary privacy settings of your Facebook profile. In the top right, you will see a button to the right of your name – it has a padlock sign on it and three horizontal lines. Press it and then select 'See More Settings' at the bottom.
How to make your Facebook private
On the other hand, you can click the little cog settings button located in the very top right next to the aforementioned Privacy Short button and then select "Settings" from the drop-down menu. The end result is exactly the same in either case. Now you can set your privacy to your standard.

        2. Who can see my stuff?
Under the Privacy Settings and Tools heading you will see three questions in bold letters: "Who can see my stuff?", "Who can contact me?" and "Who can look me up?". Let's start with the first heading on the list.
        i) "Who can see your future posts?": click the edit button on the far right. Select who you want to see your future Facebook posts from the drop-down menu. Naturally, public will be the opposite of private so set it to "friends" if you only want Facebook friends to see them.
How to make your Facebook private
Also you can select "only me" if you want only yourself to see what you post, or click "Custom". Custom allows you to select specific options including "Don't share with", meaning you can choose a particular Facebook friend or friends you no longer wish to share posts with. You can also block lists you are a part of, such as a school network.
If there is a post you want to limit the visibility of, the "Review all your posts and things you're tagged in" setting located below allows you to do just that. Hit the "activity log" button and use the pen edit button to delete specific entries you no longer wish to share.

        ii) Who can contact me?
If you want to stop getting messages in your inbox from people who aren't your Facebook friends, you can use the message-filtering option under "Who can contact me?". Switch it from basic filtering to strict filtering to only see messages from friends in your inbox. Doing so will keep random messages from strangers at bay.

iii) Who can look me up?
Maybe you want to limit who can look up your Facebook profile. The "Who can look me up?" options allows you to set your privacy to your preference in this regard. With friends enabled, only your friends can look you up using your email address.
The same options can be said for your phone number i.e., if you entered one into Facebook. Again, you can select the friends option for the highest level of privacy.

Finally, you can choose whether search engines such as Bing and Google can be linked to your Timeline. A simple tick box option is all it will take to really shut your Facebook profile off from the world wide web. As Facebook states, this option can take a while to come into effect so don't panic if it seems like you are still coming up on search engines.

        Do you want ultimate privacy?
To really ensure your privacy, there is always the option of leaving Facebook entirely. Of course, this is a drastic course of action but something like online bullying could force your hand (in which case, you should seek support). Or maybe you are just tired of sharing everything so publicly.

Size for Facebook Cover Photo 2018

         Cover Photo     No comments

This is Facebook Cover Photo, Group Header Image Size And Other FB Graphics. If you want to find what size your graphic should be for a Facebook Profile Page Cover Photo it’s quite a challenge. That’s why I made this page. So here it is: 851 x 318 pixels.
And if you try to hunt down the same thing for your Facebook Group Header Cover Photo, it’s just as difficult. So here that is too: 821 x 250 pixels.

When updating your group image, FB do give you the chance to move an oversized graphic around, but it’s far better to design it the right size in the first place.

BUT – things get in the way. Here’s a snap of my Profile Cover Photo together with all the dimensions you need:

Size for Facebook Cover Photo 2018

The above cover photo is for my Facebook profile page and automatically embeds my profile name to the right of my profile image (Quentin Pain).

Your profile picture extends 25 pixels below the bottom of the graphic into the menu bar (as you can see above), and there is also an embedded 2 pixel white border with thin grey outline added to your picture (this fixed border stops creative designers doing funky things by merging their picture onto the menu bar and cover graphic etc. – shame).

If you have a Facebook Business Page (aka Fan Page or Community page etc.) and you want to take full advantage of the space, you’re going to need a slightly different sized image. It’s 820 x 320 pixels.

Next up we have the Facebook Group Cover Photo. If you run a group on Facebook, use the dimensions below to make best use of the image header area. The size is 821 x 250 pixels.

Search terms: facebook cover photo size mobilefacebook cover photo ratiofacebook profile photo sizefacebook cover photo size in inchesfacebook cover photo size 2017facebook cover photo templatefacebook group cover photo sizefacebook page cover photo size 2017

So to promote that, I use Facebook marketing to help spread the message. And that means I also need to know the size for my ad images.

Some of the marketing I do is based on Facebook Sponsored Posts. The best results come from videos (at least for now – but it does depend on the video of course!). For a fixed image, Facebook recommend a size of 1200 x 628 pixels.

Below is an example that advertises a Workshop I do for bloggers, online content writers and freelancers. Luckily, all ad images on FB seem to have the same aspect ratio, which is 1.91:1 (so you can create your ad images at 1200 x 628 and FB will scale them accordingly without losing the aspect ratio).

Advertising with Facebook is a science, and as with all advertising, you must think through the customer journey.

And that depends 100% on the traffic you drive to your ad.

If it’s cold traffic, you’ll need to entice and educate your visitors.

If it’s pre-sold or warm traffic, you need to give them a compelling reason to find out more.

Either way, don’t even think about click-baiting your visitors. Facebook are banning people at a faster rate than ever for trying to game the system.

Just put up good stuff and be straight (it can be funny or quirky too, but take care).

How Do I Find Archived Messages On Facebook

Access Facebook, Account, Admin Facebook Group, Archive, messages, Messenger     No comments

Whenever you store a chat conversation or private message on Facebook using the archive attribute, the website eliminates it from the Messages Inbox as well as Various other sections as well as transfers it to a different Archived area. Searching for and accessing this section could be a bit difficult since Facebook does not show the section link title beside the "Inbox" or "Various other" link titles. The Messages display style isn't broad adequate to present all titles. Instead, to see archived messages, you need to access a drop-down listing that supplies additional choices.

How Do I Find Archived Messages On Facebook
          1. Go to your Facebook House display and click the "Messages" choice in the Favorites section to open the Messages screen. Facebook immediately displays your chat conversation history as well as private messages in a list style by date listed below the Browse field.

          2. Click "More" located over the best side of the Look field as well as choose "Archived" from the drop-down menu. Facebook switches over the list of non-archived messages to a checklist of archived messages.

          3. Select any type of archived message in the checklist to open as well as review it in the center of the Messages screen.

          Tips
          1. To respond to an archived message, type the reply in the "Write a Reply ..." box below the message and also then click the "Reply" switch.

          2. To include a document or photo data to an archived message, create a message to the various other Facebook user clarifying why you're attaching a file or image as well as click the "Add Data" or "Include Photos" icon listed below the Write a Reply box. Select a saved data, click "Open" when triggered and after that click "Reply" to send the message.

Who says you cannot deactivate your Facebook temporarily or better still delete Facebook account permanently? Even though we agree that Facebook is the easiest way to keep in touch with our loved ones, we may be biased by thinking in that direction.
I remember what a friend posted before he deleted his account and I quote "I once had a life until someone asked me to create a Facebook account" - It sounded funny but true.

You hardly keep in touch, no visitation, no hang out, just you and your device. That's that on that so let's see how to deactivate your Facebook account and take a break from this Facebook thing.

          How Deactivate Facebook Account
You can deactivate your Facebook account temporarily and choose to come back whenever you want.
          To deactivate your account:

          • Click the account menu  at the top right of any Facebook page
          • Select Settings
          • Click General in the left column or visit: web.facebook.com/settings?tab=account
          • Choose Manage your account then follow the steps to confirm
Note: When you deactivate your account, you can always reactivate it back and no one will connect with you through out the deactivation period - no one will see your activities, profile and etc.

Fed up of Facebook? How to deactivate and delete your account

Deactivate Facebook Account, Delete FB, Facebook Delete, settings, www.facebook.com/help/delete account     No comments

Facebook is a very useful tool for keeping in touch, sharing photos with family and friends, or just having a nose and seeing what everyone else is up to.
But as more people are becoming disaffected with the site, the question gets asked time and again - how do you delete your account? Facebook doesn’t make it easy, but it is possible. Follow our steps and you’ll wave goodbye to friends, pokes and annoying game invitations for good.

          Step 1: Deactivate Facebook

If you want to try life without Facebook for a bit and see how it suits you, you can deactivate your account instead of deleting it for good.

When you deactivate your account, your Timeline and all information associated with it disappears from the site immediately. No one will be able to find you on Facebook, or see any of your personal information, but the minute you reactivate, it’ll all come back as if it never went away.

          • Click the down-facing arrow in the top right-hand corner of any Facebook page
          • Navigate to Settings.
          • Click General in the left column and Edit next to Deactivate your account.
          • Click the link Deactivate your account and follow the steps.

Step 2: Log out of Facebook-connected sites and apps
Plenty of websites use Facebook Connect – this is a service that syncs to your Facebook account, so that when you post a comment it will appear on Facebook at the same time. If you want to permanently delete your Facebook account, you’ll have to log out of all these sites that use Facebook Connect first.

If you see your Facebook profile picture by the comments section on a site, then you’ll need to log out of it. The easiest way to do this is to clear your web browser’s cache, which you can find out how to do below.

You’ll need to do the same thing with apps – such as Spotify - on your smartphone.

          Tip 3: Download your archive

If you definitely want to delete your account, it’s worth downloading your archive first. This is a record of posts, photos and videos you’ve shared, messages and chat conversations.

          • Click the drop-down arrow
          • Navigate to Settings
          • Click General on the left-hand side.
          • Look for the link that says: Download a copy of your Facebook data and you can start the download.

Tip 4: Find the Delete link

Facebook doesn’t make it easy to delete your account. You’ll have to find it in the Help Centre – there may be a link buried somewhere on the site, but the easiest way to find it is to Google “Delete Facebook account” or head to http://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account

Once you’ve clicked the link, you’ll be asked to log into Facebook again and you’ll arrive at the Delete My Account page.

          Tip 5: Confirm the Delete

Click Delete My Account and you’ll be asked to re-enter your password and answer a question to prove you are a human. Then click OK.

          Tip 6: The deletion period
It takes up to 90 days for your account to be fully deleted – just in case you change your mind, so don’t log in to Facebook – or any sites or apps that connect to the social network – during that time or your account will be reactivated and you’ll be back to square one.
