Facebook Tag List | How to tag People or Pages in Photos on Facebook: With over 2 billion members, you’re obviously not the first person who succumb to peer pressure — or curiosity — and sign up to join the busy Facebook community!

Please checkout:  How Do You Delete a Page on Facebook?

Facebook Tag List | How to tag People or Pages in Photos on Facebook:\

I’ve been plugged in for years, but it’s only in the last year or so that I started to find it interesting and fun. Prior to that, it was basically the same people who I interact with in other forums and mailing lists, so there wasn’t much news. Now I keep in touch with dozens of friends who otherwise are far beyond my usual circles.

It’s actually pretty easy to tag people or pages to also connect with your photo updates, but if you want to do it right, ensure that you are tagging the right people. If you tag people on photos there are not interested in - they will untag themselves from your photo and if they don't know how to remove themselves from your photo tag, they'll find you to be annoying and will either report or block you.

Tag people or Pages in photos?

You can tag people or Pages in your own or someone else’s photos if the person or Page has allowed others to tag it.
To tag people or Pages in a photo:
  1. Click the photo to expand it
  2. Hover over the photo and click Tag Photo at the bottom
  3. Click the person in the photo and start typing their name
  4. Choose the full name of the person or Page you want to tag when it appears
  5. Click Done Tagging
If you want to tag people or Pages in multiple photos in an album at once:
  1. Go to the album
  2. Click Tag at the top right
  3. Enter the name of a person or Page to tag
  4. Click each photo you want to tag with that name
  5. Click Save Tags when you're finished
  6. Repeat this process for each person or Page you’d like to tag
You can tag up to 50 people or Pages in a photo.
Keep in mind that when you tag someone in a photo, that person's friends may also see, like or comment on the photo.
Recently, Facebook ensures that if you tag a photo that was not uploaded by a friend, the person who uploaded the photo will need to approve the tag before the tag can work.

How to Delete Facebook Account Permanently | Facebook permanent delete link

 Delete Facebook     No comments

How to Delete Facebook Account Permanently: There are uncountable reasons why people really want to leave Facebook... whatever reason you are leaving Facebook for - you only have two choices to make.

How to Delete Facebook Account Permanently

1. Leave Facebook Permanently
or
2. Leave Facebook Temporarily

Any which one you choose will depend on the reason you want to quit Facebook.

Today, we will be discussing on how to permanently delete a Facebook account.

How to Delete Your Facebook Account Permanently

The method is quite straightforward and easy, and you just need to follow some simple systematic guide and with that, you can permanently delete any of the Facebook accounts. So, follow the steps below to proceed.

Ways to Permanently Delete Facebook Account:

1.  In your web browser, you need to log in into your Facebook account that you permanently want to delete.

2.  Now there you need to open the link https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account in a new tab of your browser. Note: Copy the link and paste in browser search bar.
3. Now the new panel or the windows shall launch up on your device’s screen that will be asking for the password and filling up the blank CAPTCHA fields. Just fill up the details correctly and then you can move on to the next step.

4. At last, you will only have to click on the ‘OK’ button placed on the bottom corner of the screen and your account shall be successfully scheduled for being deleted. The account once scheduled for the permanent delete then it will get deactivated for other 14 days and after that only it shall get deleted. Now the main thing that most of the people do not apply is they do not wait the 14-day period and get log in while their account is in the deactivated mode. This cancels up the deletion process, so you should not try to enter your account for the next 14 days after your schedule it for removal.

deletion
5. So, you have finally got the method by which you can quickly delete up your Facebook account permanently, and hence there shall be no need to wait for too long to remove your Facebook account and its data. All that will happen instantly, and you won’t find your account from that instant onwards. And if you were also finding to delete your Facebook account permanently just use up this method and that all you will get the results for sure.

Please make certain that you really really really want to delete your Facebook account permanently before proceeding. You won't be able to recover your info once you hit on permanent delete button.

How To Delete A Post From My Facebook Timeline?

     Facebook Timeline     No comments

How To Delete A Post From My Facebook Timeline: This article explains how to delete a Facebook post from your own wall. Did you mistakenly post something on your Facebook timeline and want to delete it? Don't worry, this article will save you the stress.

How To Delete A Post From My Facebook Timeline

How to Delete a Facebook Post

This is for a post someone else wrote on someone else’s timeline. It will not remove the post, it will hide it from you.

When you look at a post, you will not see the carrot on the right side. Hover your mouse in that area to see the carrot. Click on it.

You will see several options. Click “I don’t want to see this.” You will no longer see it. Facebook changes exactly what this says from time to time, but the concept is the same. As in my next set of instructions.

Another Way to Remove a Post

I noticed that I have a slightly different set of options when I go to delete a Facebook post by someone else.

On my Facebook account, the options include “Hide” and “Report/Mark as Spam.” I don’t have the survey option and I don’t have “I don’t want to see this.” What’s the deal? I guess Curtis has a different set of options than I do on his page, because one is newer than the other.
    Deleting Your Own Facebook Post

The two posts above were written by others. The first account belongs to Curtis Ellis, the second to Jennifer Ellis. If you have written a post of your own that you want to delete, here is how it is currently done.

As you can see, there are completely different options when the post is your own. You can delete your own post, unfollow it, or embed it somewhere else.

    Deleting or Removing a Comment

If you have written a comment on a post (yours or someone else’s) you will instead see a pencil when you hover.

    Conclusion

It seems that Facebook has decided to change the word delete to hide, or something else that does not make it clear whether you are actually deleting a post from your timeline. Given that you cannot delete someone else’s post anyway, this makes some sense.

    Cheers! Please share it!!!

Facebook Following me hoax is a hoax

       Following Me     No comments

New Facebook hoax "Following me"... The new false alarm going around Facebook claims that there is a way to see accounts that are following you secretly.

      New Facebook hoax "Following me"...

It is good to know that the "following me" claim is NOT true. According to fact-checking site Snopes, the supposed spies are found if you go to the ''Block Users'' section under Settings.
They are then revealed when you type in "following me" in the search field.
In actual sense, what users are getting is a list of people with the words "following" and "me" somewhere on their profiles and not a pack of clandestine agents.

      See:

Snopes pointed out that a similar false charge was made earlier in the year around January. That time, the ''Men in Black'' were discovered by typing "Facebook security" in the field.
Users of the social media site have to navigate these types of hoaxes every few months. Previous scare tactics included a "copyright claim" to prevent losing ownership of posted content and a hacker named "Jayden K. Smith."
For people who do want to limit who really can see their postings, the Facebook Help Center provides information on how to change settings.

Facebook now testing paywalls and subscriptions for Instant Articles

       Instant Articles     1 comment

Facebook now testing paywalls and subscriptions for Instant Articles: A few months ago it was reported that Facebook may begin testing paywalls and subscriptions for Instant Articles beginning in October. Well now it’s October, and surprise – Facebook has started testing subscription support for instant articles!

Facebook now testing paywalls and subscriptions for Instant Articles

Here’s how it will work: Facebook will start with two paywalled options for publishers to choose from:

The first option is a metered model where everyone gets to read 10 free stories per month before needing to subscribe. The second is a freemium model where the publishers choose which articles to lock.

When someone who isn’t a subscriber hits one of these paywalls, they will be promoted to subscribe for full access to the publishers’ content.

One really interesting aspect – if you want to purchase a subscription Facebook will direct you to the publisher’s website to complete the transaction, meaning they process the payment directly and can keep 100% of the revenue and transaction data. The subscriptions will then also include access to the publisher’s full site, and existing subscribers can also authenticate within Instant Articles so they can get full access without paying twice.

Redirecting users away from Facebook to complete a transaction is a huge win for publishers. But not everyone is happy with the arrangement. Notably, Recode reports that Apple is balking at the subscription signup flow, saying it violates the company’s rules about subscriptions sold inside apps. Right now Apple gets up to 30% of all subscriptions sold inside 3rd-party iOS apps, so Facebook’s current signup method would strip them of this revenue.

For this reason the feature isn’t launching yet on Apple – only Android, which doesn’t have any restrictions on how subscriptions can be sold. There’s no timeline for when a deal could be made with Apple, with Facebook only saying that “this initial test will roll out on Android devices first , and we hope to expand it soon.”

Facebook says many of their partner publishers identified subscriptions as a top priority, and especially requested the ability to maintain control over pricing, offers, and all the revenue generated from each subscription.

The ten participating publishers at launch are Bild, The Boston Globe, The Economist, Hearst (The Houston Chronicle and The San Francisco Chronicle), La Repubblica, Le Parisien, Spiegel, The Telegraph, tronc (The Baltimore Sun, The Los Angeles Times, and The San Diego Union-Tribune), and The Washington Post.

The tool will roll out over the next few weeks, and one a publisher is on board paywalls and subscriptions will immediately be available to all users seeing those stories.

      Facebook tests self-destructing status updates

       Updates     1 comment

Facebook tests self-destructing status updates: Facebook is testing self-destructing messages as a way to encourage users to post more status updates.

In a bid to win over users that have moved to more transient platforms such as Snapchat and Twitter, Facebook could add an option for updates that disappear.

      Facebook tests self-destructing status updates

Facebook has been testing the "temporary profile status" option for the past week, according to Buzzfeed.

The feature, which has been described as retro, lets users share 101 character updates that are made from text only. Users can opt to make the temporary statuses permanent.

If the social network makes the feature available to all users it could fill news feeds with text updates, making it look more like Twitter or the early days of Facebook.

Back in 2006, when Facebook launched its news feed, users would post real-time status updates. These are now called posts. As videos, photos and links became more prominent, written status updates slowly disappeared from the news feed.

Facebook has been looking for ways to engage its users in real time amid concerns that they are more likely to share on Snapchat rather than its platform.

The company recently launched Stories in Messenger, which borrows from Snapchat's ephemeral quality, in what has been a largely unsuccessful attempt to make its service more immediate. It also launched Live videos, which have proved more popular.

It is not clear when or if Facebook will make the disappearing messages available to all of its users, but it confirmed it is testing the feature.

"We're testing an update that lets people set a temporary status on their profile to let friends know what they're doing or feeling in the moment," said Facebook. "People have the option to set an expiration date for the status and choose whether or not it appears in the news feed or only on their profile."
